Kent Garden Watering is based in Farnborough Village - part of Bromley, Kent. It's run by me - Chris - and I have more than 2 years experience with micro irrigation.
Towns and districts within reach include Bromley, Chislehurst, Orpington, Biggin Hill, Warlingham, Bexley, Dulwich, East Grinstead, Chessington, Rochester, Sevenoaks, Oxted, Croydon, Maidstone, Redhill, Guildford, Sutton, Weybridge, Cobham, Kingston, Esher, Greenwich, Kenley, Caterham, Godalming, Chatham, Ashford, Canterbury, Keston, Folkestone, Wimbledon, Gravesend, Horley, Tonbridge, Banstead, Tunbridge Wells, Epsom, Eastbourne, Brighton, Leatherhead, Edenbridge, Dorking, Ewell and Woking.
Healthier Plants
Plants grow better when they get the correct amount of water at the correct intervals. With automatic irrigation, water gets to plants at the correct dosage and interval.
Saving Water
Systems like these - drip irrigation ones in particular - use far less water than watering by hand. Why? Because as much as 50% of water applied from above (garden hoses, watering cans, sprinklers etc) is lost to evaporation, run-off or wind. But with targeted drip irrigation 90 percent of the water goes to the roots of the plants, often within a finger's breadth of them, and nowhere else. Know what? Water bills could go up by up to 70% in the next 5 years. In just a few years some of us in average houses will be paying up to £800 a year for water. So it's worth reducing usage now.
Weed Control
Drip systems can place water right up next to the plant you want to water - and keep it there. As a result, weed seeds receive less water and therefore weed germination is limited.
Saves You Time And Effort
There’ll be no need to drag watering cans and garden hoses around the garden after a hard day or week at work. You can just relax and enjoy being out there.
Peace Of Mind
Different plants have different watering needs. Zoned systems allow us to tailor the amount and method of watering to particular areas of your garden. You’ll then be certain that every plant is getting just the water it requires.
Appearance
Most of the components of an irrigation system are hidden or at least discrete. They are unlikely to upset the look of your garden. Dripline can be covered with mulch, spray heads are small.
You Are In Control
The types of irrigation I install are completely automated and battery powered. I set everything up when I install it, but if you need to make adjustments to timings, I'll show you how. And with an optional wi-fi module and a smartphone app, you could control your irrigation from your phone, even if you aren’t at home or even if you’re abroad.
